There is another that fits onto the END of the wire and replaces the spark plug boot on your plug. it has a light on it that does the same thing. here they are
 \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\;and i wanted to get a set of the blue lighted plug boot ends. i went to my dealer and showed the guy at the counter, and he refused to sell them to me, he said these things will eat up your ignition system and the whole electrical system in short order. said it happened to his own bike and a friend of his.
the boot ends were just 6.99 each, so i thought it couldnt hurt seeing as they are so cheap.
what do you guys think? \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; is it possible for a device like this to ruin the whole ignition system and more? has anyone used these types of things before?
I wouldn't run anything like that on my bike. \\; All the spark should go to the plug, not to light some gizmo. And yes, Ive read somewhere they affect solid state ignitions.
I would stay away from these things. They \\;claim to not be \\;lowering voltage but \\;they are \\;drawing current, which is adding load to your ignition system.
 \\;
They are also one more thing that can go wrong. Reading the install instructions for the ones that go anywhere along the wire, you have to cut the plug wire to put them in, a huge red flag for me.
Sparkies have been out for decades. \\; They used to recommend changing to one heat range hotter plug when you used them. \\; Think about that. \\; I wouldn't put them on my bike. \\; Your money would be much better spent on an air filter.
