Default Timer Cover

Wife bought me a replacement timer cover- any issues I need to know about before replacing it?

Actually....YES.

If you've never removed it and it's still got the rivets, you'll need to drill em out and if your new cover didn't come with screws, you'll need some new ones.

just replaced the stock timer cover with a chrome one on my 07 FatBoy, very easy, although it may be different on the Sporty

It's 2 screws. Took me about a minute to replace it.

Simple two screw swap like mentioned above. I swapped mine when I had my cam cover off for powder coat and it took literally 30 seconds.

harley instructions will tell you to remove the battery cables to prevent accidental startup which could result in serious injury or death, i didnt listen when i changed mine, unless you buy a SE timer cover which has no instructions

It's just a 'dummy cover' on the 2004+ models.&nbsp\\; Simple to replace.
