seems to me the harley experience has never been about comfort anyway...if it were, we'd all be riding Honda's...drag bars look soo cool..that's all that matters.
Two words... 1. Ultra 2. sportbike. I am guessing you have ridden neither. Harleys are, or can be, some of the most comfortable bikes around. And a CBR1000RR is not exactly what I would call comfortable, at all.
Drag bars are not for everyone. It is an extreme riding position for most folks, but try it for yourself.
yeah,,,I got ya..but this is the "sportster" section after all...maybe should have clarified..."sportster experience not about comfort"...and I was thinking about the honda cruisers adn of course the grand daddy of comfort...the gold wing!

I love drags but in my opinion a nice set of risers will a little pull back is required. Maybe thats why my back never hurt, cause mine pulled back towards me a bit. I can see drags on the stock riser hurtin your back.
In my opinion drag bars are more comfortable if you donât have a windshield. I always refused to put a windshield on my Sportster because I wanted to keep it sporty looking. When you donât have a windshield you are always fighting the wind and pulling yourself forward into the wind causing a lot of fatigue. With drag bars you can lean into the wind relieving the strain on your arms therefore much less fatiguing.
Depends how long you will be riding at a time anything over a hour for me and my lower neck starts to hurt. I switched to a bar that comes closer to my body, but the sporties with the drag bars look cool. Get the bars that fit your riding preference.
