I promised these pictures of the black parts last weekend. Here they are:

Bike is still a work in progress. They look blacker in person than they do in the pictures. This is the wrinkle black that voodoo on eBay has. I ordered his and then sold my factory pieces when I got them.

I have the lower rocker covers but didn't do them because I didn't want to pull the head to do the pushrod tubes. Any opinions on the two tone? I think I like it but I can't be sure until I try both ways I guess. I might throw them on when I do my Apes just to see.

HDRider,

How difficult was it to change out the black rocker covers? Did you have to pull the motor out or did you just work around that? Looks good!

motor doesn't have to be pulled. The manual says to pull the tank. I was able to do the rocket covers without removing the tank but I did have to loosen the coil to get to one of the bolts.

I don't know what you are paying but I would consider doing it myself. I did all of mine and this is the first bike I have ever done anything on other than changing my oil. I have been working on cars for 16 years for my dad and then I payed my way through college and into law school. Its much cheaper to buy the service manual and do it yourself.

I wasn't sure about the primary and second guessed the chain adjustment after I was told how to do it on the forum. I took it to a local Indy who has 12 years at a Harley dealer and still has all his certs. He charged me 35 bucks to say, "You couldn't have done a much better job, bro. Its definitely within factory specs."
