Ok guys and gals, the season here in the northeast is winding down a bit and I'm planning on some pretty extensive mods in the off season. So I'd like to start compiling some sources for parts now so I can begin picking up parts and be ready when the snow flies. Basically, I want to put an entire WG front end on the Sporty, including new raked triple trees, 6" over or longer tubes (haven't decided on 39mm or larger), mini apes, speedo relocation, chrome hand controls (including master cylinder), etc, etc...You get the picture.
I've seen many photos of Sportys modded in a similar fashion here on the forum, so I'm looking for some wisdom from the masses. Please feel free to post photos as well...Thanks for any and all help...
Beware: 'raked' trees are for 'raked' frames ONLY... Be very careful with altering
front end geometry. You'll need the stiffer 41mm fork tubes or a lot of fork bracing, I wouldn't go beyond "mid-glide" with the 39mm tubes.
