Default Primary question

I have an 06 1200c and last night i thought i heard a like screeching sound from the primary. then it was gone and the primary sounds louder than it use to. Im hoping it was my imagination. But has any one had an issue with thier primary, bearings clutch?

No known issues I've ever heard of however its simple enough to drain the fluids and pull the primary cover off and look for anything suspicious and of course adjust the chain while putting it back.

Does this happen when clutch lever engaged? If so, could be locking plate bearing (under split nuts). I don't have the year manual but I believe it's got the auto-chain tensioner so maybe it picked up a bit of slack and resulting noise. Definitely good idea to check out, tho', just cost a few gaskets.
