Question LOWEST HARLEY for me?????

Does anyone know what bike would sit the LOWEST to the ground for someone like me?

I am ONLY 5 ft and I have a 883LOW sporty, lowered as low as possible front and rear.. thinking about buying a new bigger bike. I love my bike but wanted something more powerful.

Looked at The Heritage but it is TOO wide.. it kicks my legs out too far and I can't reach the ground. You can't really put a norrower seat on it either.. cause the engine is wide?!

Does anyone know of a PERFECT bike for me?

thanks..Lisa

My wife is also short, she is 4ft 11 inches and she can almost get flat footed sitting on a Nightster. Go sit on a Nightster they have 1200 cc engines.

Just do a 1200 convert on your 883.

From what I've read elsewhere on the site, you should try out the Softail Deluxe...lowest bike Harley makes apparently, and I've read many posts with shorter people saying how happy they are with it.

According to Harley the 883L and the 1200N have the same seat height. The Softail Deluxe is about ˝ inch lower, however, my brother has this bike and I find the width of the seat makes it feel higher.

That is the lowest Harley. You can also add an inexpensive bracket (about 40 bucks I believe) that attaches between the shock on the bottom by the swing arm to lower the bike even more. THis kit will get it down another inch. That's about as low as your going to get a big twin without scraping your turns. It is a great running bike by the way too.

yup. lowest is the deluxe. the seat is wider than a sportster's seat, and that will make a difference, but there are plenty of short people that are happy on the deluxe. I am one of them! 5'6" and I flat foot just fine.

i saw an old rigid that was literally not even 9 inches off the ground, from the seat the frame shot straight up to the gas tank and over the engine. it was pretty crazy. the guy had super extended forward controls and big apes, he looked funny riding!

i would get the lowering brackets and a 1200 upgrade for your sporty, seems like that would fit you better than a whole new bike.
