Harley advertised them at one point for $3400.00 and guarantee new price paid on a larger bike. It's a Sportster but I'd rather have a 883 Hugger than the Custom 1200 that my wife bought a couple of years back. I hated the Custom, worst unbalanced over priced Harley we ever owned. I think she paid $12,000.00+ for it. (Yes, before we got married.) "Honey, I Went To The Harley Shop To Buy You Something and I Bought Me a New Sporster...".

My old Hugger:

Feed it lots of health food and it will grow into a Road King.

Thanks man! Picked it up from my father-in-laws buddy for $3k. Couldn't believe how well taken care of it was. Definitely scored a "friend discount".

I had a '94 hugger, I loved it! It came with Buckhorn handlebars, lower rear and front end and lot's of attitude!

I had an '94 Hugger. Very disappointing. The obligatory Stage 1 mods helped a great deal, but it was still pretty slow. Which was good because it didn't corner or stop well either. I loved it because it was mine and a Harley. Hated being scoffed at by every Squid on a 500. I thought to myself "You only wish..."

My '99 Sport is a much better bike.

Think too about getting a 1200.
