Default Drive sprocket change

I have a 01 883 converted to 1200, I want it to run a little smoother on the highway, by changing the drive sprocket from a 27 to a 29 what changes can I expect in ride?

also how diffcult is it to do this?

Are you keeping the rear sprocket the same size?

Changing to a 29 tooth will simply give you the same gearing as a factory 1200, about a ~10% decrease in RPM at cruise speed.

Nope, not much difference, as the primary gearing is also different, from the 883 to 1200. I had a 30 tooth on mine, and you could notice a difference, but it was still geared lower than a stock 1200. BTW, you can go up to a 30 tooth, and keep the stock belt.
