my choke just dont work?

Default my choke just dont work?
My 1989s choke just does not do anything and is hard to start cold. When the bikes hot if the choke if pulled it will rev the 1200 a few hurdred rpms. Any ideas on a fix?

My 89' was harder than my 06' to cold start. Sounds like you are saying the choke does work when ther bike is warm already? Maybe try a hotter plug? Don't really know what you have tried,don't know anything about the carb/upgrades either,has it been modded,etc.?I'm no expert but some of these guys have alot of experience and that info might be helpful.

the choke dont work one bit when the bikes cold it only seems to work when its hot

Maybe needs new choke cable or clogged accelerater pump on the carb.

Do chokes need to be adjusted ?

The cable works because when the bikes hot and u pull the choke the bikes revs
