Where?!
I rode my bike to work the other day and when I was about to leave to go home i jumped on the bike, hit the start button and all it did was just spin the starter motor. i had to embarassingly push start the bike just to get it home. I have been told that since the starter motor is spinning all i would need is the bendix. Where the f can i get one of those? I have looked in J&P cycles catalog and also Jireh cycles catalog. but neither of them had it that i could find. If anyone could tell me somewhere to look it would be greatly appriciated! Thanks!!
Bendix is a brand name I think what you are looking for is the solenoid. You can usually just tap the starter with a hammer handle or something to get it to throw until you get the part you need. Beats the h@#l out of pushing. Ride Safe.

You're probably going to end up getting a whole new starter. The bendix is the spring assembly on the business end of the starter that causes the starter gear to engage with your flywheel. If you can buy just the bendix assembly I'd say go for it. It's probably cheaper than buying a whole new starter.

Not so fast, the first thing to do is have the batt load tested. My 96 1200c did the exact same thing to me, load tested the batt and that was the problem. Althogh 2 weeks later my voltage regulator did go out.
