I am thinking of changing the stock emblem "sportster" on my 06 XL 883 and replace it with a more sober "harley davidson".
What is the best way to do it?
thanks
L
The standard way is to apply some heat i.e. from a hair dryer, then carefully use some mono fishing line to gently seperate the emblem from the tank. Take your time and it will come off cleanly you may need to re-apply heat as you draw the line through. Whatever residue is left on the tank you can remove with one of the solvent products out there like goo-gone etc.
