Default Tank Emblem Removal

Does the stock RKCustom or Streetglide Tank Emblem come off easy? Were there any paint issues when putting a differenct emblem on?

Thanks

They will come off fairly easy. A little careful work with a heat gun and some fishing line will take them right off. 3M decal remover will remove any glue residue that is left.

Mine came off easily with floss. Use work gloves to protect your fingers from getting cut by the floss or fishing line. I used Goo Gone and WD40 to get off the backer. No scratches whatsoever. Have not replaced the emblem.

I was wondering why you wanted to remove the emblem. I had only heard of other makes being "debagged". Nevermind.

A buddy of mine had 2 scoots. One was a FLST and an FLH. Both the same color (Bronze Pearl - 2000 Models). That color is awesome. I don't know why HD didnt stick with it. Anyhoo.. He had the emblem removed on the FLH to replace it with the sticker to match the FLST. It looked good.

The reason I never put Decals back on after paint was, it seems to make the polished engine stand out more.

I recently took all the badges off of my car and my bodyshop tech told me to use nothing more than a hairdryer, which I did and wore a pair of gloves cause the badges get hot, but they came right off with no use of fishing line or anything else. Just used a little goo remover then to get off the remaining glue, and there are a few differentkinds of glue remover safe for painted surfacesout there, I used 3M decal remover. But I had no paint damage, and the paint quality on my car is nothing compared to the quality on most HDs.
