Switching coil wire harness?
Hey guys,
I am in the process of relocating my coil between the rockers and the way I want to mount it the plug wires are going to be on the wrong side. I was wondering if any one had any info on the coil harness and which wires would need to be switched for this to work.
I have a 08 883 and the harness is like this
1)Blue/ orange stripe
2)Yellow/black stripe
3) Yellow/green stripe
4) Yellow/green stripe
I have heard allot of different stories about how to do this.
1) both plugs always spark at the same time (both at top and bottom) so a switch isn't necessary.
2) 2 of the wires are the "fire" wires for the plugs and they just need to be switched.....I just don't know which ones they are : (
Any info you guys have would be greatly appreciated, I know the first comment is going to be "get a service manual".....I know I know I need one but I am trying to hold out until the after thanksgiving day sale my dealer is having (25% off)
Thanks for the help guys
David
