Default Clutch cable

Is it normal to have to replace the clutch cable often on a 07 883C? I have noticed a good amount of oil build up on the cable, which from what I hear is normal. However I have taken my bike in to the dealer twice since I got it back in Feb for service and both times they have “replaced” the clutch cable. Now the bike is under warranty and I do have an extended warranty so it hasn’t cost me anything. But having to have it replaced rather than adjusted every time I take it in kind of makes me wonder what is going on.

Something isn't right, I have 12,000 Km. on mine now and it's never been adjusted or touched and it's just like new. I have no oil build up, where is this oil coming from? could it be a bad seal somewhere?

I forgot to mention that the new cable looks to be about twice the dia as the old one with heavier duty connections. The new cable seems to also gotten rid of the clunky first gear.

The oil is at the connection to the primary cover. It just looks to be blowout since I have never seen any spots on the ground. They did say that it looked to be a bad seal when I first brought it in.
