jap VS american....
i myself only ride american or italian out of preferance, but i owned and still ride some jap bikes, thats not what this thread is about though, i wanted you all to see this

the japanese have an entire racing league devoted to 883 sportsters! isnt that something??
they have a website
http://shin883.com/
cant understand it, i really wish there was some kind of american division of this.
they have pictures from each event for the past 6-7 years on the site. some REALLY neat looking sportsters i thought you guys would love to see.
they at least know how to stick to the sportsters roots and make good looking bikes even if they are close to stock.
some pics
i love the way this one sits. without looking at the details i instantly thought it was from the mid 1960s

just a sample, lots of great bikes on that site! i LOVE these bikes, about 80 percent of them are PURE sportsters, none of that sissy big tank or saddlebags or apes that shouldnt be on a sporty in the first place. (except a nightster, those look ok)
those who buy a sportster and fit saddlebags and windsheilds to it bought the wrong bike for their needs.
just thought you guys would like to see some sportys from the other side of the world, we have a whole france thread but those are crazy customs. we need to see some real sporties
PS - rode home in bad rain in SoCal right now without a windsheild or full face helmet or waterproof gloves or pants. loads of fun!
Cheers..
