...between a 1200 sportster and buell motor from 2002? I'm assuming the heads, cams, maybe pistons, and compression ratio may be different, anything else ?
The reason I'm asking is because it's time to buy a motor/tranny for my hardtail project. And yeah, I know, woulda been cheaper to buy a complete donor bike but it's a little late now as I've already got the roller just about done. Still need motor, pipes, oil bag, wiring and of course a couple more tabs welded on. Found a low mileage M2 Buell mill that just might fill the bill.
Will the buell be lacking in low end grunt compared to the sportster due to the head porting, etc ? Any particular maintenence differences between the 2 ? Any input will be appreciated,
Wayne
