I think this kit looks decent, but I don't know anyone that's used it or haven't read any reviews.

I don't like the fact that it mounts to the forks... and the lights should be on the other side of the speedo so you can see them.

Hey fellas, this is what I did for my speedo relocation, I actually removed it from the casing and reinstalled by hanging it on the right side of the handlebar, the only issue is that it requires the removal of the turning signal lights (that was my original plan anyway, since I didn't like the look of them anyway), for the relocation I painted the plastic speedo casing with RustOleum Plastic - Flat Texturized Black, and I used a metal strip normally used for hanging pipes, and I removed one of the ball joint screw piece that comes with the turning light casing and I used it to secure the speedo on the handlebar, here is a pic of the assembly:

and here it is secured in place (I also used cable ties to secure it against the handlebar)

I used shrinkable tubing to wrap the metal strip to make it look nicer, rerouting the cable was simple, I used black silicone to seal the casing...

Very nicely done, I think that I am gonna dig in and start getting mine relocated. I have a little different idea in mind, so I will be sure to post pics once I get it done.

Boweman thanks for the encouraging comments, twhill that is the original clamp, I used a handsaw and hacked off the original clamp/speedo casing. I am now going to use fiberglass + body filler to encase the lights... I will post the results later, another option is to get Fishboy's clamp, I dont believe is cheap, but Fishboy makes a very nice looking clamp, some other people go the Night Train way and paint it with barbecue wrinkle flat black rattle can... I hope this helps... happy riding!!

joebotics, any problems with the speedo hitting the tank with it mounted there?

hey Permanent, the gap is minimal, but that is because I lowered the handlebar, it does not get close to the tank if you leave the handlebar at the original height,
