Default How much difference does stage 1 make with a 1200?

I had what I presume is stage 1 performed from the dealer when I bought it last week. I didn't get to ride it before I had all this added so I was wondering, does it make a huge difference and what exactally is considered stage 1? I've read a few different things...

I have a SE Heavy Breather, V & H Short Shot Staggered black pipes, and Performance HD computer remapping?

Don't get me wrong I rode a 06 Kawasaki Ninja zx-6r 636 before this and I thought the sporty was going to be a pig but, damn was I wrong it picks up and goes much easier and almost as quick as my 636 did. I was impressed and fell in love with at first start up and within the first 500 feet.

I can't speak for the injected guys, but the stage 1 woke my bike up enough to notice it.It was all stock when I got it.I did the V+H Straightshots,Ness BS and carb re-jet.
Obviously it sounds much better! I don't know how to describe it,but I'd say the bike is peppier now.Throttle response is great and it pulls strong through all the gears.

I hear ya' on being surprised on how the 1200 gets up! Only ONCE(wink) did I really run it hard all the up to 5th.It's got all the giddy up I'll ever need! Oh,and the Straightshots sounded pretty good also!

Yeah, that setup you had done sounds like the basic stage 1 upgrade.

My last rocket was CBR 600.Plenty fast for me,but not so comfy.I always wanted a Harley though. Why not start out on a 1200 Sportster? It's way more comfy than a rocket.I've gone farther and seen more than I ever did on a rocket.Enjoy the ride!!

From what you stated was done to the bike, it will make a difference. Did you put a tuner on it or just the remap?

The Stage 1 upgrade is probably the best thing you can do for your factory restricted machine... And a good dyno tech can squeeze every last ounce of hp and torque out of the engine... My bike felt like an entirely different animal when it was done
