I just received my RK Shocks which came with the air tubes. I tried engaging the shradder valve to see if any air would come out. Instead, oil started to spew.
I tried removing the tube connected to the shock and the same thing happend. Is this normal? I expected air not oil.
Also, do i remove the actual brass bolt connected to the tubes? if so how? I would like to replace them with shradder valves.
You probably have it figured out by now, but set the shocks in an upright position to let oil drain down. Probably just trying to burp a little oil. Don't be concerned unless you lost a significant amount.
When mounting be sure to check clearance on belt guard and if shimming, shim evenly to keep rods parallel. Some shraeder valves are slightly undersized in shock threads, so be careful not to over crank on valve.
