I recently purchased my first bike. 2009 Nightster with Chisel-grind "custom" paint. I say "custom" because I've seen a little backlash (not to me personally) about factory custom paint. I didn't like it in the catalogs or online until I saw one in person and fell in love with it. Right now I only have V&H shortshots, like almost every other Nightster owner lol. I've also swapped the stock mids controls for forwards. You can get a fairly good idea from my sig pic and there's a couple on my profile (will try to have more pics up soon, it's raining in OK right now and don't want to get her out of the garage!) I have been considering whitewalls and I'm back and forth on red spoke wheels about a hundred times every day. Future plans include a SE heavy breather in black and either drag bars or mini apes. I've just hit a customizing writer's block. Lend me you ideas. No idea is a bad one!!
remove front fender and flectors,
speedo relocation.
drags or broomsticks look great on the nightster.
tank lift.
front and rear signal relocation.
coil, ignition, and wire harness relocation.
I like the custom paint on the Nightster it looks good I have an 08 Nightster black and orange I put drag bars on mine and ran the wires thru them also relocated the the speedo I moved the front signals down on the fork and got some smoked lenses all the way around those are a few of the mods that I did .
I heard that OK. just had a tornado go thru hope you made it thru it and welcome to the forum.
A tornado just missed me! Weird. OKC TORNADO ALLEY! Tornadoes in Feb. are just stupid... Chuck E Cheese on NW Expressway is gone now. Oh well, that's what they get for buying out Show Biz. The keyboard playing gorilla was awesome!! (You OKC folk may know what i'm 'talkin 'bout!)

Put some drag bars on that ride! Seriously... you'll hate yourself if you don't. Just picture yourself leaning over the tank, goosing the throttle, showin some crack in the back.
why the hassle over factory custom paint? I've bought several sets over the years... its almost all done by hand and perfect quality it's just not done by the local stoner yours looks good
