Default Peeling paint/powder coating

I have a couple spots on my crankcase that the black is peeling up and flaking. Not sure what the best solution to this is, is there a touchup engine paint other option to help these areas.
Also the previous owner allowed the forward controls to get rusty and pitted the chrome pretty bad. I've thought about having them stripped and powder coated black.

Long term goals are to black out as much as I can, I love the pics of the nightsters Ive seen on here, and would love to head that direction, any advice is appreciates
thanks

You pretty much have two choices; sand down and clean the area real good and shoot it with textured black engine spray paint from your local dealer or completely tear down the engine and give it to a powder coater. If you go the powder coat route be sure to do some homework on which powder coater to use. Talk to your dealer and indy shops about who they recommend and who to stay away from. You'll usually pay more at the better shops but that's something you don't want to have to do twice!

Strip all of the chrom with a sandblaster and have them powdercoated, that is what im in the process of doing right now with mine. The whole blacked out look is amazing and the powdercoat is such a hard shell that it would be fine.

Unless your have the time and plan to remove & tear down the entire engine I would just use the engine texture paint for now. Having it all powdercoated would look great (and Powdercoater, www.finaltouchpowdercoating.com does excellent work by the way) but that's a lot of work and more so than just pulling the cam and primary covers.
