Any ideas how one could repair a very small chip \\;on the black engine case on a roadking. \\;Have a very small area about size of a pea. \\; \\;High temp. engine paint or any ideas? \\; \\; Thanks \\; \\;
RE: Are black engine cases powder coated or painted ?
 \\;I 'd just touch it up with some flat black engine paint. I've heard what's on them\\; called powder coating \\;but in chips and scrapes off so easy it has to be some kind of paint \\;or it's real cheap powder coating. \\;

I had a chip about that size on my ex-Street Bob's primary cover. I touched it up with Rustoleum Satin Black aerosol...I sprayed some onto a piece of cardboard and dipped a artist's/modeler's small paint brush into \\;the paint \\;and dabbed it onto the spot.After it dried, the chip completely disappeared...I was amazed.

It's paint. Surf is right on the money for touch-ups.
