Pretty much the same carwash stuff I use on the vehicles (no particular brand as for as washing), and typically Meguiars or Mothers for Wax/polish. For light cleaning and general wipedown detailer I use Pledge often with microfiber cloth.
I use Meguiars detailer spray with a soft lent free cloth on the painted areas and wax. On the chrome i use Never dull to shine it up. I have never used soap and water to clean the bike.
since you asked what my fav product for cleaning the bike is and you have lotsa good answers above, i would add that my leaf blower is my fav product!!
it has never seen a leaf in its life, but it sure makes the job a lot easier... wash her down, rinse her off and then grab the leaf blower. neighbors think i'm nuts, but they think that just cause of the bike anyway!!
the blower gets the bike mostly dry and mainly gets the water off of the hidden parts and engine nicely.
Git some auto soap and wash it, go to Cycle gear and git a can of spray Protectall, it will clean and wax everything. Don't leave white on the rubber. You can even spray yer seat down with it.
Don't use it on the tires.
Mr Clean Autowash, works great leaves no spots. Walmart $19.95. In between washes I use a California duster Pit Spit, and Harley gloss (love the smell). I just cleaned it up after a terrific duststorm yesterday, the dust got in everywhere, house, barn, you name it. I had just finished and here comes another one with rain. Put the bike up and back in the house watching it rip out side. Looks to be 30-40mph right now. Damn it!!!!!
