As for us Navy Guys they make us go but its a very good thing and with all of the crashes they are now making us go to the experienced riders course after 3 years from what i"m hearing. Which i think is a very good idea. the basic was a blast and i hope the other one is just as fun!!

I been riding since the 50's and took the MSF course a couple years ago. I was very impressed with the course content and the instructors riding ability. They just don't teach you, but they can ride and demonstrate it.

The Experienced Rider Course steps it up as you do it on your own bike. A couple guys dropped their bikes and one sprained his ankle.

The national HOG association will send you a $50 refund for the course if you provide them proof of payment and successful completion.

I set up the class form me and my wife two summers ago for her birthday. She'd never ridden. I told her if she didn't like it, I'd put the motorcycle idea away once and for all. Well, she fell in love with riding and SHE dragged ME to a Harley shop a month later. A month later, two Nightsters in the garage. How lucky can a guy get? I will never forget that course!

I bought my bike before I had ever even been on one (driving myself that is). I thought the course was awesome and It would have been a lot longer time before I would have been "ready for the road" without it. I can't wait to take the skilled rider's course!

(and what is with all you guys putting your foot down on the figure 8! )
