Mine comes on around 115 miles or so, and I put about 2.8 gallons in if I get to a station just as the light comes on. It's a little premature, but consistent. On the highway it has come on as late as 165 miles. I get about 40 miles to the gallon mixed riding...50+ on the highway at a steady 70mph.
Hmmmm. Mine comes on pretty prematurely too. About 60-70 miles. Then again...I ride hard as frack!
Sometimes, if I take off really quick, it'll come on for about 10 seconds and then go back off when I level my speed off or brake and then the gas can go back to the front.
I just fill up when the light comes on and I usually have to put 1.8 gallons in it and it flows up into the cap area.
