I spray the entire bike down with Simple Green....Let that soak in while I grab a beer, a smoke, and fill a bucket with warm water & whatever car wash I have on hand. Then scrub/wipe everything down with either a wash mit or a scrub brush. Grab another beer & a smoke, and then hose the bike down and dry it. Grab another beer/smoke, and start polishing with the Meguir's three or four step polishing compounds. However, this routine is only followed about twice a year, and the bike just gets sprayed with the Simple Green and washed down the remainder of the times I wash/clean it. Pledge for everything if the bikes just dusty.
The s100 is great for road grime, but exspensive. I need a good cleaner for the polished alum. Any idea's? Water spots and bug juice are my big problem, my triple trees are a mess. And most of the cases too. The front fender on a sporty ain't worth sh#t. It may look good, but that's all it doe's. Maybe I just need a better old lady and an old tooth brush? If ya got a good alum. cleaner, let me know, THANKS,

Hey you bastard! you stole my bike! Just kidding, I did go look in the garage first just to make sure. Can't tell from your picture, do you have a tach. on her? It was exspensive, I think it was 370 for the kit and I had to put it in! I went with a set of V&H shorts, screamin eagle AC, and a fuelpak. The bike runs great! Lot's of potental. You can turn it into a 1200 real quick! Ride it like you stole it! Best of luck....................HOLLYWOOD
Mothers Billet polish works great on aluminum (makes it look a little more like chrome than the standard Mothers aluminum polish I think). Also recently I bought a Mothers powerball and Power Metal Polish liquid to buff out the wheels on my wife's car and that thing worked like magic. 10 minutes per wheel is all it took to polish the aluminum wheels almost like new and they hadn't been cleaned for about 2 and a half years.
I tried using the Power Metal Polish liquid today on my triple trees and heads and it worked damn good by hand too. The parts came out looking like the Mothers Billet Polish did but the liquid seemed even easier to use.

Thanks everyone, i've got some great ideas to go on! I do agree, something quick and easy so I can ride more and clean less but, if it's something that needs attention or draws attention, i'm gonna use a little elbow grease, and take the time to do it right. I'm lucky so far though, my bike is an 07' and i've kept up on it pretty good, so it shouldn't be an issue. Thanks again.
