[QUOTE=Krakanator;4788858] Wind in my eyes being the biggest factor. The full face has me covered there because I have found that sunglasses do not block the wind from my eyes. Goggles are not an option (no offense to goggle wearers). QUOTE]

I tried three or four kinds of sunglasses with the same result, finally I bit the bullet and bought a pair of HD driving glasses, they have high impact lenses that go clear at night and dark during the day but most importantly they have a soft foam pad that presses up against your face around your eye to keep the wind out. They were grossly expensive but do work great. I can't remember exactly but I think they were around $80.00 and I must say they are worth it.

I wear a full face on my sportbike and a half shell on my Harley. The full face is horrible and pulls my head all over the friggen place at 70mph where the half shell does not. The noise factor is no different on one or the other as I use an MP3 while riding so I don't hear anything except the music. If I were back in California I wouldn't use the MP3 but here in Kentucky I don't have to worry about traffic and where I rider rarely even see another vehicle.

Lucky you! You don't have to worry about wall to wall traffic where you are. For me to experience that, I'd have to go over 100 miles out to get to some solitude.

When I bought my bike I bought both a half and a full face helmet. So far the full face has done nothing but gather dust.

I went to Chatsworth High in the 10th grade. I know that area pretty well and it has only become worse. I even remember when we had to take the old road into Semi Valley. You're probably right, 100 miles might just do it.

Full face for me. Imagine getting hit in the face by a bug or worse a rock going 75mph on the freeway.
I just cant imagine getting hit by a bug...the nerve of them boogers...seriously if you think a bug is bad try clipping a bird at 55 with a lid on(damn near take your head off)

i have 2 half shell but wear my VERY little skull cap(not legal here in NC)

I wear a novelty 1/2 and it doesnt look bad....Probably wouldnt do much but it gives peace of mind to family.

I bought a DOT daytona and it looks so god awful I sent it back. I am still in search of a decent looking helmet but dont think it exsists.

I know helmets are for protection not looks but come on, they cant all be that bad.

I use both half shell in local city riding and full face for the freeway. Hot days in California are made for a half shell.
