Default speedo issues

i have a 96' sportster. i bought a fat bob tank and it came with the dash and the speedometer kit. the kit is for 82' to 94'. 82 to 94 has the manual and the 96 is electrical. is there any way to switch over from electric to manual so i dont have to buy another guage. thanks

J&P cycles sells a kit to install your 96 speedo in a fatbob style dash

Or just try using your stock speedo in the assembly instead of the speedo that came with it. I'm not sure if the speedo sizes are the same for the different housings, but if so, you could simply just pop the kit's lights & speedo out & pop your's in. I do know the kits for the '96 & up kits, you use your stock speedo, as I've been thinking of throwing one of those kits on mine.
