They have them in wrinkle black as well. I think I am going to stick with the SE HB though. I will most likely be in North Carolina this time next year, it rains there 1/3 of the year, the sock should work just fine for me.

I have seen those before just never heard the name or know anyone using one. I doubt from the looks of it that it could flow very well. Your HB has to be clearly better. I don't run a rain sock but have an open filter and can tell ya after a few rains and over 2 years with this one getting dirty so often or heavy rain choked/ washing the oil out and all over everything I'll probably pick up a round cover before too long.

So you think a covered cleaner could be better if i'm heading into that environment? I have read that the rain socks work pretty good.

I think your rain sock should be fine. Heck, I've heard guys carrying pantyhose sections sprayed with silicone to slip on in rain to keep it dry
I never purposely head out in heavy rain and light rain is fine with my open filter but with all the road grime and farm fields around me I find myself cleaning and re-oiling my filter every 1k sometimes especially if its had rain on it. I have been caught in downpours with no sock on mine and it caused the motor to bog a little. Open filters look good and breath good but I think they just get dirty faster than covered ones.
