Seems the dealers are having to stick with higher prices on bikes they are getting back
on the buy back program. The sales guy I talked to didn't seem too happy with the program. Now they have a huge supply of bikes and only so much wriggle room to deal
with.
That's the trouble with buying a new Harley. The moment you drive it off the lot, it depreciates $1000. I've got probably over $16K in mine and I'd be lucky to get $7K for it. So I'm keeping it; more fun to ride than the bagger anyway.
I traded in my '05 1200 custom with 11k on it. Dealer gave me $6500 without even seeing it. He said he needed sportsters. He also gave me $2,500 off an '09 Ultra.
