I'm looking for more of a show piece than anything else. I want it more as a compliment to the current styling of my bike than a functional backrest.
Is anyone familiar with where I can get one that is more unique in style. Perhaps custom made options. Been doing some searching and have not come accross anything in the way of what I am looking for.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreacite it! It would be going on a nightster - would like a low profile style of bar if I can.
If ya cant find something you like out of a catalog, why not make it? I was looking for one for my Nightster so I could strap on a bookbag full of clothes. Couldnt find anything cool so i made one. Just used some steel pipe from Lowes and borrowed the welder from my work.
At 17" it's not exactally low profile, but i hope it gives you some ideas.

+1 on making one yourself. You want it for looks, that should make it easy to come up with one. I made mine for use as a luggage rack and seat.
