Default Probably a dumb question...

Ok, '87 sporty, My turn signals worked fine until recently, and now all of a sudden they flash very very fast. All the bulbs work, would a new flasher solve this? I'm still up in the air whether it's the flasher, or a bad ground somewhere. Hoping someone has had a similar issue.

did you check the fluid in your signals, prolly need to go with a higher viscosity fluid. make sure you bleed them first. :P sorry couldn't resist.

could be a ground. did you put the contact grease (or whatever it's called) on before installing the bulbs?

I gotta ask what's the story on the turn signal fluid? Clearly there's no fluid in there but, I've seen it mentioned in a few posts.

lol, blinker fluid is an old joke running around parts stores for quite awhile. Just naming off things that don't exist. Muffler bearings, vw water pumps, summer/winter air, stuff like that.

Oh and yeah, the bulbs have grease on them.

Add higher viscosity blinker fluid?? I always thought the higher viscosity fluid would cause a back pressure problem and cause my brake lights to come on!!

no fuses, just circuit breakers, and they seem fine. the blinkers work, just flash very fast all of a sudden. It's not a huge deal, I kind of like them flashing fast, but I'm pretty sure if it's the signal relay, it's going to go bad on a road trip somewhere.
