Default forward controls

just wondering how much of a pain in the *** it is to install the forwards by myself rather than giving HD about $500 ( including parts and labor). they said it's gonna take about 2 hours. i'd rather save about $200 and try to do it myself. and input?

If it were me... use the $200 for some new tools, service manual and DIY.

Not hard, just get a service manual and follow the directions on the forwards you should be fine. I did my first set in a gravel driveway and didn't loose a thing.

I did mine when my bike was brand new and I had never worked on a motorcycle ever. It wasn't too hard at all.

I put my forward controls on in about 1 hour without even removing my V&H Short Shots. No biggie at all.

Save the money and do it yourself, buy some tools and you'll have them anytime an other project comes up.

On a Sporty, it wouldn't be real hard. As long as you have tools and a manual, I think you'll be fine
