Default New Question for old junk

hey guys just wondering if anyone has ever run into those old two stroke dirtbikes from the 70's that AMF pirated from the italians? I recently became the owner of a ****eous '74 HD Aermacchi sx125 and i thought it was pretty cool on the fact its slightly rare, I know this from the fact that I can't find a damn thing for parts other than NOS fenders and gaskets and crap, all I really need to get her running is a carb and ignition coil. I've been all over the net for a few weeks and can't find anything for this specific bike. Any help would be appreciated!

I've seen parts for Aermacchi bikes on ebay before, but I would guess it's pretty much a crapshoot.

How bout some PICS?

I guess the word blanked out on your original post was "hideous", not "gorgeous" like I initially thought. Should be a fun project.

My sister has one, a basket case, her husband that thinks he can work on things decided to "fix". It's been given to me in boxes, just need time to finish. I know the pain of finding parts for those things. Just have to keep looking the parts are there only not always there when we look. E-bay has some parts from time to time, most of my parts came from a friend of a friends friend. Good luck with your project.

I don't know if they go old enough, but bikebandit.com and oldbikebarn.com would be good places to look. I got parts for my old *** hondas on there.
