Default i need help

just bought first bike 02 xl1200c has a problem and i am NOT a mechanic. i know it has a k&n air filter and screaming eagle ll pipes. when giving gas in neutral and while riding carb is cutting out almost like a backfire and has on occasion caused the engine to die out. does anyone have a clue what this is and how to fix it?

Pull plugs and look at the color of the insulator. Black=Rich, White=Lean and light brown=just right. If they are wet then you are way rich. After you check that get back to us.

I checked the plugs, they are in good condition, but changed anyway. Didn't solve my problem. Thank you for your reply

sounds to me like it needs re jetted to fit the ac and pipes.
