Looking at a new Nightster. I'm 6'1" 205 lbs. First Harley. I'm used to dirt bikes and enduro's. These Nightsters are BADass!!! I love the look, I think Harley will get a new lifer. Any advice on these bikes would be great.
First, how can you have a name like Nightsterguy and not have a Nightster? I don't have a nightster but I do have an Iron. Very similar bikes. I would say your weight is not an issue. I would say that you will most likely want to go with forward controls for comfort. I'm 5' 7" and even with a 30" inseam I find mids to get cramped up on longer rides. What kind of riding are you going to do? I think we'll need some more info. Most people will say go for it. I'm one of them.
Well, I'm 6' and 195 and I love mine. Forward controls helped me. It felt cramped up with the mids on. I put on drag bars and they just didn't feel right, so I've kept the stock bars for now. It fits me pretty well right now. Plenty of power. Plenty. I'm sorta new at this stuff though so I'm not gonna win any drag races any time soon.
