Exhaust Wrap
I have just bought some new vance & hines sideshots staggered and I want to wrap them. I do not know if I should wrap them with the heat shield on or if I should not put the heat shield on at all. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

Wrap them without the heat shields so that if you later want to put the shields back on they are still usable. Heat wrap acts the same as a heat shield and keeps the outside of the exhaust from burning you. That is how I would do it.

wrapping pipes looks cool but the pipes life is cut down pretty good, depending on how much and how hard you ride your bike and thats why guys usually wrap only their old pipes. if your gonna go that far to modify new pipes, you should try looking at ceramic coating. that does a better job at performance and extends pipe life. you could do it yourself if u got the equipment with a eastwoodco.com OR caswell.com kit. if not check yer phonebook 4 a shop.
