Default Stage II question

Working up the parts list for Stage II. Don't see a coil upgrade for 04-06 models. Is there nothing out there yet or is it just not necessary for 04-06?

Default RE: Stage II question

There are a few variations (attached a couple links for ***-bleeding detail) of stages but the general consensus is this:

Stage 1: free flowing exhaust, high flow air cleaner, rejetted carb

Stage 2: Upgraded cams

Stage 3: Hi-compression heads and/or pistons

Links for fun reading:
American V-Tech

Sportster.org

I plan on changing cams, ignition module, and plug wires first. Supposedly the plug wires are uber cool, bigger than stock, etc. I'm changing them because I want orange ones that say "Screaming Eagle" on them. After that is done I'm looking at Hi-compression heads and pistons. So I guess that'll take me through Stage 3.

With earlier models you could/would change the coil when you did the ignition module. However, can't find one for 04-06 Sporty's yet, hence my original question.

Hope that helps.

That's a lot of good info. The second link stopped the ***-bleading that I got on the first. Does anyone know if there's any significant HP difference from the 03 motors to the rubber mounters?
