Could I just be a Sportster guy?
4300 miles to Sturgis with the wife. We tent camped the whole way.
My every day set-up. Ive looked at other bikes as a second bike but....i love my sporty!!
I don't think I want to ever grow out of my scoot.
I now have a trike and a Electra glide but when I turned 40 I bought my first Harley-Davidson, 05 XL873c black cherry pearl. Put 21000 miles in 2 years on it and I’m 6’1” … it was a trip… I honestly wanted a Bagger but I don’t regret buying the XL. Never disrespected a XL.. solid platform and a beautiful machine.
I’ve come full circle:
My very first bike was a ‘15 Forty-Eight. I had it for almost 2 full riding seasons and I loved it. But I really loved the looks flog the Softail Slim so I traded the 48 in for a ‘17 Slim. When the M8 was offered in Softails, I added an ‘18 Deluxe to the stable. I had the Deluxe for 2 full riding seasons, but I never really fell in love with that bike so I sold it, which left me with just the Slim.
I loved the Slim, but I really missed having a Sportster. So when the ‘21s came out, I was afraid that would be the last of the Evo and the XLs, so I bought a ‘21 48. And I fell in love with it so much that I sold the Slim, and set aside the $$$ from it for a 1275 Hammer kit for the 48 at some point.
My ‘21 48 might end up being the last bike I ever buy.

Don't buy or trade for another bike. I made the this mistake and regret it. Upgrade you XL low with a seat. Even hp but don't give it up. Your bike will do anything that a bigger one will but cheaper. Endless mods are out there for your bike. Don't get suckered-in like I did with the moco.

Solo - Sportster
2 up - Dyna...enough power for the weight and cruise at 70 plus on the highway no issues...oh and the suspension is so much better the swingarm is full length instead of 3/4 like sportster.
