Thunderbird Anyone?

But I would have to at least test ride a t-bird. I've been watching them a good long while now and it sits well.. Sat on one at the local Triumph shop. About like a dyna with forward controls. I was hoping the pricing would be a bit more competitive as they're squarely in the s-glide / bob price range. For the same coin, I'd be pretty darn happy I'd bet with a street-bob add forwards or at least highway pegs.
All that said, the bike looks to be very athletic for a cruiser.. Dual front floating rotors anyone? ABS optional. Also larger bore kit available I think bumps it to 1700 cc (just under 104 cubes for us inches folks). Tire sizes are based on sport-bike tires. Triumph intended on it being the best handling in it's class, everything else afterwards.
Exhaust clip shows it's capable of a unique sound with some aftermarkets:

Now, would it be as "cool" or sit as nice as a bob with apes? uh... doubtful. But it's for a different type of rider I think. Still I say compared to the other departures from V-twin cruisers (valkyrie, rune, etc) I think Triumph has a keeper with the bike as an alternative, and we know competition in any form is always a good thing for the consumer.
I'm hoping some rag will a head-to-head comparison with it's immediate H-D competitor in the dyna class.
