Get all different types around here, the best seems to be the goldwing fully extended openhanded 6 year old little kid wave, usually makes you laugh and shake your head.
I usually acknowledge another rider with a nod, wave..whatever works at that particular moment. Scooters too. There may be a lot of riders out there but the cages still outnumber us big time! My fav is giving a wave to a little kid on a corner or in a car. Love to see that big smile it gives them!
Hell, I wave at just about everybody on two wheels... sometimes I even wave at the occasional scooter!
I almost always give the HD Salute (hand low with peace sign). But never to a scooter... and also never to the crazies with shorts and sandals on. I don't want to be responsible for their road rash because they waved back and fell off!

thought i'd share a story that happened to me. i just bought 09' iron, v&h sideshots and 12oo upgrade. but, also ride 07 nightrod.
One day riding through center of town, i thought a street bike was waving so i waved, as he got closer, I noticed he flipped off upside down. Well as I turned my head to look back the kid flipped the bike and went flying over the bars......I stopped and made sure he was ok. He was, thankfully and I continued my ride. ....hmmmmm....dont think he will be flipping ne one else off ne time soon.... cant wait to ride the iron. thanks for all the great info on this site...im new to this site....safe riding all.........~M
yeah Haus, the dumba$%es with shorts and flipflops on drive me nuts. What are they thinking?! We see quite a few of those being removed from the front end of a truck around here.
I wave at about everyone if I see them. But I drive mostly long open roads when i get in town things change due to the fact I'm constantly dodging the cages and all the shifting. Even wave at the guy that rides those funny lookin scoots with2wheels in front 1 in back .hose things still make me laugh. Andi agree waving at the kids and getting that smile out of them makes your day. On a side note with it being as dam hot as it is waving gives me that extra air flow up my sleeves to cool me off. I'm a wavin fool
