Converting to mids, Forward motor mount bars removal??
Converting to mids on my XL883C to fit a 883R exhaust, HOWEVER wonder about the PEG bars sticking out from the front motor mounts (the are in the way and must be removed).
On the backside of the mounts ther is a lock ring one on each side. Removed the lock ring and tried to remove the peg bars. But they are stuck (probably pressed in)?
Any tip before I cut them off with a disc cutter??
(hope you understand, some terms might be wrong in english)..
Good Lord don't cut them off, there is an eclip on the back side that locks them in place.
The smartest thing to do is get set of non forward control motor mount an trade them out, the old forwards are worth a lot on EBAY, but they are worth nothing if you start cutting on them.
