Forward install question
I have a 1998 883. Been searching around. I know when you buy new you get a whole kit.
But I might be getting some used forward controls. Do you need to swap out the motor mounts for forward controls.
The motor mounts I have now are holding some highway pegs.

That brake side is hard to tell from the pic. Is there a piece going into the motor mount. Or is it all one piece. If it's all one piece I'll need that motor mount.

When you go to forward controls, you will be changing your front lower motor mounts, both sides. The new ones are beefier to support the controls. Your highway pegs will be gone.

Ok. So I'll need both motor mounts.
I'm pretty sure I already know the answer. But the motor mounts are the same between a 1998 883 and a 2001 1200 right.?
