When at idle will shake vibrate. When I am up in speed no vibration that I can feel but then again I came from a sporty background. Rubbermounts are alot smoother than solid mount and the solid mount engine didn't bother me.
I havent riden a new bike, but my '94 doesnt vibrate in the pegs. At least I never noticed it.. The motor mounts should isolate most of the vibration from the frame, where your controls are mounted. I woul dtake a good look at all the mounts to make surethey arentgrounding out, first. If you cant find anything, being a new bike, take it to the dealer and ask a tech to drive it,ask them tolet you test drive a Wide Glide to see if it feels the same. If its normal, then you need to look at different pegs..
Might be the pegs. I have HD flame pegs, and since they have little isolating rubber, they vibrate my feet, even at speed. then again, i have an Evo, and they apparently sake more than your 08 L-R.
I just ordered Kuryakin ISO pegs -- i hear they're better.
There is a plethera of posts on the causes of vibrations, from front engine mounts broken or require shimming to bad tuning, what I have found is that with different footwear I get different vibrations (I have an 07 Streetbob), with one particular set I was wearing the vibes seemed bad, but with the new pair I have I can hardley feel any vibrations. They are called Steel Blue, dont know if you can get them in the US though, they are the most comfortable boot I have ever worn, didn't even have to break them in, they were comfy from the start, And no I am not a rep for them. So it couldnt hurt to try different footwear just in case maybe.
Ggibson I think you're right. Footwear may make the difference. I got a pair of high top harley boots with a beefy heel and steel toes. I got 'em at rockin leather on the web. They're top shelf. Ya gotta have a good pair of riding boots.
I have an 07 Lowrider that had a vibration in nothing but the left peg..................drove the mechanic at the dealership nuts trying to find it, also stumped the engineer that Milwaukee sent down to look at the bike. Just by sheer chance the head mechanic at the dealer noticed the head of the bolt that holds the kickstand on was shiny.........when taking torque off the driveline the bottom of the tranny was just barely contacting that bolt head sending vibration to the left peg, might be worth checking out. The answer was a shorter bolt.
ok thx for the info guys i put a new set of pegs on and thats when the viberation got worst .so first ill try different pegs .i checked the mounts nothing seems wrong there . as for boots i wear dr martins if all else fails ill go dowm the boot track.
thx for yer suggestions gives me something to work on .
