Hello fellow sportster owners.
I bought a new 883L last month and now got 350 miles on it. and the transmission seems to be getting more and more sloppy. still shifts ok but hard clunk going
into 1st and yesterday went for a 100 mile ride and when i got off the highway and down the road at the first stop light i pull in my clutch and down shifted to first and it sounded as though the gears where grinding some what. while clutch was pulled in, hasn't done it again yet. but then at every stop light i stop, down shifted into first and when green light i take off letting out on clutch it seems that it will sound like it clicks the rest of the way into first. did that all the way home take off at stop lights. but today every thing seemed fine until it heat up to operating temp. so you thing i need to have clutch and primary adjusted now or wait till the 1000 mile service.

I can't speak for the 2006 helical-cut tranny gears, but my 2005 straight-cut gears clunk into first all the time, and it's normal for the straight-cut gears...
