I had'em on an 05 that I recently sold and you really need to be ready for the difference from stock to VN. I lived in a homeowner community and had to get rid of them or my neighbors were gonna have a fit. But they did sound cool.
To be honest that is a concern I have. However my bike is nowhere near as loud as most of the bikes around here. It may just be that I've been riding on it for a year now and anything other than stock is going to sound crazy loud to me.
12 0f us rode through Brighton this afternoon after riding to lunch in Springfield (left Ted's at 11:00 this morning). Only 10 of us had loud pipes, did you hear us?
We rode right by a Brighton police car and he didn't even look. You guys must have them trained well.
Here in Las Vegas most of the nieghborhoods have all the homes tightly crammed together, and they're all mostly ran by associations. When I removed the baffles from mine I thought for sure I'd hear about it. Many months have gone by and everyone is cool.
Man what a difference without the baffles, but it throws off the Fuel Pack a tad by not having the right values programed in for this set up, and yeah first time I heard these pipes I felt like a little kid in the 80's opening up his new G.I. Joe toys for Chirstmas
Just finished installing my V&H straight shots. Been waiting along time to be able to get these babies. And now that the pipes are on, and the engine has been started I must repeat what others have said....HOLY S**T!! Was NOT prepared for the sound. I was completely blown away. Dont think I've smiled this hard and for this long since my wedding night...
You need to stop waiting so long before you pop the cherries.
