I am looking to replace the stock seat on my 05 1200R. I'd like something for two, one that fits like original, but more comfortable and leather. Any suggestions, How bout some of the Harley Custom Seats, they say their leather, but do they mean all leather or just the top. What other brand, fits well and works well.
Since only the top of the saddle is covered I would guess it's all leather.
I haven't tried any other saddle. I'm very happy with the factory one on my 1200 C. I've heard others on this site say the Harley pillow top is really comfortable.
do a search, I think you will find the sundowner is the best seat for the price. it's very comfortable also. It was one of the first things I changed when I bought my bike.
After the first 2 hour ride on our new 06 XL Custom, the wife theaten not to ride again till I changed out the stock seat. I went out the next day and got the HD Pillow Look touring seat (and matching backrest pad for the sissy bar) and now she's happy! It's about $70 less than the HD Sundowner and so far, its working out great and looks good too.
