Steering head bearings

Just saw a CVO Springer and it had a Zerk fitting for the steering head bearings. The guy said it will burn rubber in all the gears and I believe him. Even shakes like a Sportster.

ive seen some sportys that have the fitting and some that dont. my 88 doesnt, my friends 95 does, and my other friends 2003 doesnt

I have a 69' XLCH and am looking to replace the steering head ball bearings, top and bottom, the later models have taper roller bearings, I've heard of a conversion kit for my 69', anyone heard of that....? Failing that, any ideas where I can get a set of bearings preferably with the bearing cups....? Thanks guys.
