I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I posted this question over in the softail forum and they didn't like the Metzlers for the Deluxe. Do you think they run differently for the Sportster than they do on the bigger bike? I was leaning toward Metzlers, but was changing my mind. You guys prefer them on the Sportster???

Compared to the Dunflop's, the Metz 880's give me around 50% more tread life, handle better, and don't track tar snakes or bridge grates. I'd never go back to the Dunlop 401s.

That said, many touring guys rave about the Dunlop Elite III's. Unfortunately, they don't come in Sporty sizes.

I slipped into that thread and gave ya my option on the Metz for the Sporty.

I'm a fan!!

I've got just over 10K on my rear 880 and still have a ways to go to get to the wear bars. The front is at 7500 and barely shows wear. I'm hoping for 15 in the back and maybe 20 for the front. 38PSI front and 40 rear with occasional warm PSI checks to make sure they're not getting too hot....
